Please do not contact your GP for a COVID-19 vaccine

The first phase of the NHS Covid-19 vaccination programme has started. When it is the right time you will receive an invitation to come forward. For most people this will be a letter, either from your GP or the national NHS. This letter will include all the information you will need to book appointments, including your NHS number. Please do not contact the NHS to get an appointment until you get this letter. Information on the vaccine is available here:

Repeat Prescriptions

You should not normally request repeats of medication which the doctor has not authorised. Requests should always be made in writing, using your repeat prescription computer slip wherever possible.

The request should be dated and each item clearly indicated before handing or posting to the receptionist.

We are happy to receive repeat prescription requests through the post and mail them back to you if you provide a stamped, addressed envelope.

Order Online

Alternatively you can register for our online service and order via the link at the top of this page. To register and create an account you will need a PIN. To get your PIN, you will need to contact us so that we can generate your PIN which you can then collect from our reception.

When you come to collect your PIN, we ask that you bring along some photo ID (a passport, photo driving licence etc.). This is so that we can verify your identity and protect your confidentiality.

Once you have your PIN you can register with emis access and start making appointments online straight away.

Please do not use the telephone for repeat prescriptions.

We aim to process repeat prescriptions within 48 hours from when we receive them.

The two working days that we need to process repeat prescriptions does not include Saturdays or Sundays or Bank Holidays, so a prescription requested on Thursday would normally are available for collection on Monday. It is very disruptive to surgeries for the receptionist to constantly interrupt the doctor to have prescriptions signed because patients have come in hoping to pick them up early. Plan ahead sufficiently to give yourself a few days spare supply of medicines when putting in the repeat request.

Repeat Dispensing

If you, or someone you care for, use the same medicines regularly, you may be able to benefit from repeat dispensing from the pharmacist. This means you can collect your repeat medicines directly from the pharmacy without having to visit the surgery or make an appointment to see the doctor or practice nurse every time you need more medicine.

If you would like to be considered for repeat dispensing the first step is to talk to your doctor and ask them if you can use repeat dispensing.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
